About the Founder
Kinley Dema, the founder of Namgyel Yarphel Adventure, is a businesswoman from Paro, Bhutan, with strong experience in trade and cross-border travel. She owns a Bhutanese garment and handicraft store, supplying authentic Bhutanese products to markets in Nepal, China, and other countries. Through her work, she has built long-term relationships and gained practical knowledge of international travel and logistics.
Her business frequently required her to travel to China, particularly to Lhasa and other sacred sites in Tibet. Alongside her trade visits, she regularly accompanied pilgrims traveling to important religious destinations such as Lhasa and Mount Kailash. These journeys allowed her to meet people from many different backgrounds.
During her travels, she noticed that many people she met had a strong interest in visiting Bhutan. They were curious about Bhutan’s culture, spiritual traditions, and natural beauty, but often did not know how to organize their journey. At the same time, many Bhutanese pilgrims were looking for reliable and well-organized arrangements to visit sacred places such as Lhasa, Mount Kailash, and Boudhanath Stupa in Nepal.
Seeing this need on both sides, Kinley Dema established Namgyel Yarphel Adventure in Paro, Bhutan.
